Board of Governance

St Albert’s College is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Armidale and affiliated with the University of New England (UNE). It is governed by the St Albert’s College Board, which was newly established in December 2014 and is responsible for the overall development and direction of the College. It consists of seven members:

Karl Schmude (Chairman)

Qualifications: BA, MLitt, DipLib.

Professional Background: Founding Fellow and Trustee, Campion College Australia; former University Librarian, University of New England

Jennifer Harman

Qualifications: BEcon, MBus.

Professional Background: Executive Director, Catholic Diocese; substantial experience in Catholic Diocesan administration & marketing.

Jayne Heagney

Qualifications: BEd, MTheol.

Professional Background: Teacher – The Armidale School; UNE Honours Graduate; former Senior Residential Advisor, St. Albert’s College.

Simon McMillan

Qualifications: BSc, AALIA.

Professional Background: Librarian and University Administrator; substantial experience in information technology systems.

Greg Moin

Qualifications: LLM, BA, DipEd.

Professional Background: Lawyer and Principal of legal firm; senior member of the Legal Guardianship Division of the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal.

Dr Richard Scully

Qualifications: BA (Hons), PhD in Philosophy

Professional Background: Associate Professor in the School of Humanities at the University of New England. Lecturer in Modern European History.

Dr David Miron

Qualifications: BSci, MSc and a PhD in Computer Science

Professional Background: He has considerable project, contract and relationship management experience. With a background in high performance computing, he has particular interests in new and emerging technologies, and in driving collaboration and successfully leading distributed teams.
